After a 7 game win streak, the tie to Köln feels more like a loss. With Calhanoglu missing his penalty, it feels like a missed opportunity to stay in the top three spots. Leverkusen faces off against big dogs Bayern Munich next and if they lose that they fall 5 points behind Gladbach. Its not the ideal situation to be in but hopefully the good form they were in can rub off on that upcoming game. Papa the centerback taking over after Spahic's sad departure is out for 3 months on injury, so the back 4 will be alittle worrisome, and if a team is to bear Bayern, they need top form. After getting hit with this realization from the Köln game, maybe we will see them rise up like a Phoenix, either that or they stay down where they are.
